The oldest area of our shelter is in dire need of an upgrade to make life more comfortable for our rescued dogs. We hope you will join us in making this a reality!
To help as many dogs as possible from the Great East Japan earthquake and Tsunami in 2011 and to do it as quickly as possible, we purchased pre-fabricated buildings that were meant to be temporary. Unfortunately, due to funds, they lost their temporary status and have served as home for many rescued dogs over the years but 8 years on they have deteriorated and need to be replaced.
We ran a successful crowdfunding project here in Japan three years ago and were able to move dogs out of two of the buildings. Four buildings remain housing 35 dogs and we are once again starting a project to empty the kennels and move the dogs to more comfortable and spacious living quarters. Not only will the dog's lives improve but also we will save funds on electricity as the pre-fabricated buildings are difficult and expensive to keep cool.
We need to raise over 3,500,000 yen (aprox.35,000 USD) to make this dream come true and we can't do it without you!
To allow our non-Japanese speaking supporters to contribute we have created this page and donations can be made through PayPal from the drop-down menu. If you wish to donate through bank-transfer instead please let us know.
